Terms of sale

1. Who you are buying from

This store is operated by The Russian Archaeologist, a fictitious name registered in Florida, whose business address is 5036 Dr Phillips Blvd, Suite 234, Orlando, FL 32819. In these terms that is “we” and “us”.

We sell to consumers, not for resale. Contact: support@russianarch.com.

2. When a contract is formed

Adding something to your cart is not an order, and the confirmation page you see straight after paying is an acknowledgement, not an acceptance. A contract is formed when we send the email confirming your order.

If we cannot fulfil an order, for example because an item has been withdrawn or a price was obviously wrong, we will tell you and refund you in full. We do not charge you for anything we cannot supply.

3. Prices and tax

Prices are shown in US dollars and do not include delivery. Shipping is the carrier rate for your basket and destination, shown in your cart before you pay.
Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and shown before you pay.
Orders outside the United States may attract customs duty or import VAT on arrival. That is set by your own country, is not collected by us, and is your responsibility.
If a price is obviously wrong, we are not obliged to honour it. We will contact you before doing anything.

4. Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Your card is charged when you complete checkout.

5. Delivering your order

Orders are fulfilled by our fulfilment partner and shipped directly from their facility. Delivery estimates are on the shipping page. They are estimates, not guarantees, and carrier delays are outside our control.

Risk passes to you on delivery. If an order is lost in transit, see returns.

6. Cancellation and returns

Set out in full on the returns page, which forms part of these terms. Nothing there affects your statutory rights.

7. Product descriptions

Colours vary between screens, and the colour of the item will not match a monitor exactly. Garment measurements come from the manufacturer and can vary by up to two inches. Product images may be mock-ups rather than photographs of the item you receive.

8. Intellectual property

All artwork, logos and designs on this site and on the products belong to The Russian Archaeologist. Buying an item does not give you any right to reproduce, resell or use the designs commercially.

9. Our liability

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable, or for business losses.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

10. If something goes wrong

Email support@russianarch.com first. Nearly everything is solved that way.

Consumers in the EU, Norway and Iceland can find their national out-of-court dispute resolution bodies on the European Commission’s list at consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and the state and federal courts sitting in Florida have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your own country.
